Batangas
A twelve-peak grassland ridgeline in Nasugbu with views of Taal Lake and Taal Volcano, popular as an easy day climb close to Manila. A Marian shrine at the summit draws pilgrims for a twice-yearly healing devotion.
Best months: November–April (dry season); December–February is coolest with the best visibility.
Permits: No official LGU permit process found. Sources describe a small per-checkpoint logbook/eco fee, and a local guide is now widely described as required ("No Guide, No Hike") though this was contested as recently as 2015 — expect a guide fee per group either way.
